First, we accumulated quite a bit of plastic dishwashing soap containers from Sam's Club in all shapes and sizes. I decided to make them more uniform by adding pretty paper I found in Hobby Lobby's scrapbooking isle. Be sure to use a coupon! I chose blue and green since it already matched my kitchen color scheme.
After I cut the paper to size, I placed it over the container. Then I covered the entire outside with clear contact paper I found at Wal-mart online . You can find the same liner for about five dollars in the kitchen isle at Wal-mart.
I decided to place the paper on the outside of the container rather than the inside to protect it from any wet cleaning supplies. If you don't have scrapbooking paper, try using regular shelf liner in pretty patterns. You could also use clear packing tape instead of the Contact Clear Shelf Liner. Finally, I used a labeling machine to create labels for each container such as, Bug Killer, Dishingwashing Soap, S.O.S Pads, etc.
Fill each container up with the supplies you use most in the kitchen.
This is a great way to organize under your sink, since you can quickly find anything you need simply by reading the label.
With such pretty storage for your cleaning supplies, you won't hesitate to pick up a sponge and clean up after an event or just weekday dinners!
P.S. With the handle on the side, you can easily move the container for quick cleaning in another area of the home.
